Today, I tweeted a Peter Drucker quote that I found in one of my old presentations, which sheds light on some poor practices in BPM:
There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.
For me, this also brings to mind the lament of Jessica Rabbit, also applicable to over-constrained and over-structured business processes:
I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.
Makes you think again about your process modeling efforts.
